Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Namekin mobile application (“the App”), operated by Atkins & Partners Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”).

By using Namekin, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. The service

Namekin is a baby name discovery app that helps you explore and shortlist names. The App is provided “as is” for personal, non-commercial use.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Namekin. By using the App, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

3. Your account

Namekin does not require an account. All data is stored locally on your device. You are responsible for maintaining access to your device and your data.

4. Partner Sync

The Partner Sync feature allows two users to connect and share name preferences. By using Partner Sync, you agree that:

• You will only connect with someone who has consented to share name preferences with you
• Shared data is encrypted end-to-end and relayed through our servers
• Either partner may unlink at any time, which permanently deletes all shared data
• We are not responsible for any disputes arising from shared name preferences

5. Premium and purchases

Namekin offers a one-time Premium purchase and optional rewarded video ads. All purchases are processed through Apple's App Store or Google Play Store and are subject to their respective terms and refund policies.

• Premium is a one-time, non-recurring purchase
• We do not offer direct refunds – please contact Apple or Google for purchase-related issues
• Features included in Premium may change over time, but core functionality will not be removed

6. Advertising

The free version of Namekin displays non-personalised advertisements. By using the free version, you consent to the display of these advertisements.

7. Name database

The name database in Namekin is provided for informational and entertainment purposes. Whilst we strive for accuracy in name meanings, origins, and pronunciations:

• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or cultural sensitivity of all name information
• Name data should not be relied upon as the sole source for important decisions
• We welcome corrections and feedback via support@apalim.com

8. Intellectual property

Namekin, including its design, code, name database, and branding, is the intellectual property of Atkins & Partners Limited. You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute the App or its contents
• Reverse-engineer or decompile the App
• Use the Namekin name or branding without written permission
• Scrape or extract the name database

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the Partner Sync service
• Attempt to access other users' data or impersonate another device
• Use automated tools to interact with the App

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind
• We are not liable for any loss of data on your device
• We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental damages
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for Premium

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

11. Termination

You may stop using Namekin at any time by deleting the App. We reserve the right to discontinue the App or any feature at any time, with reasonable notice where possible.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
